St. Augustine Beach

Vilano Beach

Just north of the Bridge of Lions, Vilano is quieter and more shell-strewn than the main beach, with vehicle access at the pier ramp. It’s a favorite for dog owners and anyone looking to skip the crowds.

Crescent Beach

Three miles south of St. Augustine Beach, Crescent Beach is the area’s quiet alternative — dog-friendly, with its own parking, restrooms, and vehicle ramp, but a fraction of the foot traffic.

Anastasia State Park

Four miles of protected beach and dunes, plus some of the best snorkeling in the region. The park also holds the historic coquina quarry that supplied the stone for Castillo de San Marcos — now a National Register of Historic Places site. Dogs aren’t permitted on this beach. Anastasia State Park →

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park

North of the main Flagler Beach strip, Varn Park is a quiet, wheelchair-accessible beach with a boardwalk — a good option if you want the Flagler Beach feel without the pier-area traffic.
